The database has served our need to track
a wide variety of detailed downtown data in an extremely user-friendly way.
Jessica Eshleman, InTown Concord
Developed by a downtown manager and adopted by downtown organizations across the country, the Main Streets Database Template is designed to track the information you need, with layouts and reports that make sense for the way downtown programs work.
The Main Streets Database Template tracks and relates all your contacts, businesses and properties. The template can be used for many purposes, from routine tasks (generating a contact list of board members, creating sponsorship renewal letters) to robust reports (occupancy over time, job-creation, square footage by NAICS code), and many other things you need—all from one easy-to-use database.
Our overall awareness of property data and inventory has significantly improved.

The template uses FileMaker Pro software, available from www.filemaker.com and, for 501(c)(3) organizations, from www.techsoup.org. You must own FileMaker Pro in order to use this template. We built the template using FileMaker Pro because we think it's great, user-friendly software. FileMaker Pro is available for both PC and Mac. FileMaker databases can be hosted online and accessed via FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Go (on iPhone and iPad) and via web browser. It's easy to import your existing data into FileMaker Pro and it's also easy to export from FileMaker Pro.
Template pricing includes documentation and comes with free technical support and video trainings. City- or state-wide programs wishing to order multiple copies should contact us about customization with bulk purchase. Downtown Diva can also provide data preparation and importation for a fee.
